Tiffany’s World

Well, here I am at Bob Jones University, enjoying the gorgeous weather of Greenville, South Carolina. Cool breeze, the sun playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds, flowers beginning to bloom, cute little springy outfits starting to show up on fellow classmates, couples making me sick on every corner of every sidewalk, and the oh-so-favorite-joy called the FLU!!!! Yeah, I actually am experiencing the joy of that last one as i write this. Laying in a bed at our school hospital only WISHING I could be out enjoying the beautiful weather, only makes me look forward to being home all that much more.

School is going well and classes are  . . . well. . . classes. For some of you that may not know, my major is Cosmetology Management and I wil be coming back for a year after I get that degree to get my business degree as well. I will be finishing up with my cosmetology degree this May and will then be working at a salon or spa in the area for my internship next year while taking business classes. I, along with my 16 classmates and 2 teachers went down to Columbia, SC a week ago today to take our State Board exams in order to get our license and we are all eagerly awaiting to find out if we passed or not. We were told that we should find out in a couple of weeks, so that means that next week, I should know for sure! Talk about nerve-wracking! But overall, I think our class was pretty confident and was suprised to find it easier than we expected so we’ll see what happens.

We have our school “spring break” next week and we are all looking forward to that. Actually I guess I should reprhrase that. We don’t really have spring break but we have a week’s break from classes and have our Bible Conference that whole week. We have special speakers that come in and we will have sessions to attend every day but it is still nice to have that time away from assignments and to just focus on our spiritual lives. It’s always a refreshing and conviciting time that we all look forward to.

Well, that, in a very small nutshell, is me and my exhilarating life here at BJU. Gotta love it! 🙂 God is faithful and has blessed me with great friends, AMAZING roommates, and challenging teachers that help me and encourage me in my classes. I am looking forward to all that God still has for me here at school but also am very reay to be home again for a while.

Life is so busy and the one thing I hate about being her at school is how hard it is to keep in touch with people that I love but hardly ever get to talk to anymore! So, e-mail me or give me a call sometime and I will do my best to write or call you back and keep in touch!
